Andreas Tischhauser received his Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Wichita State University in Kansas with a minor in Voice Performance.  He received his Master and Doctor of Music degrees from Florida State University.  He earned a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  He served as principal flute at both Florida State and Wichita State, as second flute to Charles DeLaney in the Florida State Chamber Orchestra, and as principal flute to the Santa Fe Symphony and San Juan Symphony in Durango, Colorado.  He was Visiting Instructor of Music at Fort Lewis College.  He has performed vocally with the Santa Fe Opera, Pro Musica and Desert Chorale of Santa Fe, and the University of Colorado Opera Theater.  He maintains a private studio in Durango.
