Katherine Jetter received both the Backelor of Music degree in Cello Performance and the Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics from East Carolina University.  She earned the Master and Doctor of Music degrees in Cello Performance from Florida State University.  She studied with Selma Gokcen, Andrew Luchansky, and Lubomir Georgiev.  She has performed in the International Cello Festival Master Classes in Kronberg, Germany; the Killington Chamber Music Festival; the Alfred Chamber Music Institute; and the Florida State New Music Festival.  She has played in the Fort Lewis Faculty Trio, the Alexander Murray Recital Series, the Tischhauser-Shelly Ensemble, and the Camellia String Quartet.  She currently plays with Amical Mountains Festival Orchestra and the Santa Fe Symphony.  She offers private lessons at Katzin Music and the Conservatory Music in the Mountains.  She resides in Durango, Colorado,  where she is Associate Professor of Cello and Music Theory at Fort Lewis College.
